Michael L. Bloom teaches contracts, business, and transactional law classes and directs the Transactional Lab & Clinic. Prior to joining the Law School faculty, he was a lecturer in law and the executive director of the Corporate Lab Transactional Clinic, which he co-founded, at the University of Chicago Law School. Additionally, he practiced corporate and transactional law at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago, with a focus on technology transactions and mergers and acquisitions. In 2017, he served as secretary of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Section on Teaching Methods as a chair-elect of the AALS Section on Technology, Law, and Legal Education. Additionally, he is on the Faculty Advisory Board of the University's Edward Ginsberg Center for Community Service and Learning and the Technology Law and Training Advisory Board of the Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
